Most orders placed before 2:30pm are shipped same day but during busy periods this may extend to next working day (Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays).
To keep things simple, we offer 3 delivery options either by Royal Mail or Parcelforce courier where applicable. There is a set charge per order within the UK regardless of how many items you order. Please ensure you select the appropriate delivery service in line with how quickly you need your order.
SHIPPING COSTS QUOTED ARE FOR UK ONLY
Small Order Delivery £2.95
For orders with a total value of up to £10. We ask you to allow up to 5 working days for delivery but your purchase will normally arrive within 48 hours of placing your order. You do not need to sign for the parcel.
Standard Delivery £4.50
For non-urgent orders. We ask you to allow up to 5 working days for delivery but your purchase will normally arrive within 48 hours of placing your order. You do not need to sign for the parcel.
Next Day Delivery £8.95
Shipped by Royal Mail guaranteed next day delivery by 1pm (provided your order before 2:30pm Mon-Thurs). There is a £5 additional charge for guaranteed Saturday deliveries. You will need to sign for the parcel. Larger orders may be sent instead by Parcelforce 24 hour courier service.

Nb. for Small Order and Standard Delivery, if you are out when delivery is attempted you will need to collect from your local sorting office. If you do not collect within 5 days the item will be returned to us. We will either refund your order less the delivery charge or resend the order at your expense i.e. you will have to pay the delivery charge again.
* BFPO orders can only be shipped by Standard 1st class delivery and cost £5.95

Next Day Delivery (1 working day guaranteed) £8.95
For those last minute urgent orders! You will need to ring us on 07944 459909 to take advantage of this service and will need to place your order by 2:30pm.
*Note: orders placed on a Friday may not arrive until Monday – guaranteed Saturday delivery is available at an additional cost of £5 but again you must ring us on 07944 459909 before you place your order.

Collection
We are happy for you to collect your order from our premises in Leven, Beverley, East Yorkshire during normal office hours (Mon-Fri 8:30am-6pm) and possibly at other times subject to prior arrangement.
However, you must call beforehand to arrange a convenient time regardless of which day/time you wish to collect. We are not a shop so it is essential that we know you are coming to ensure someone will be on hand to assist you (we cannot be held responsible for wasted journeys should you fail to notify us before you come).
Please place your order via our website and simply select 'Collect' at the checkout stage. Payment in cash can then be made on collection.

During peak trading times (Halloween & Christmas) dispatch times may extend to shipment within 3 days of order receipt.

RETURNS
Returns & Cancellations
We would like you to be 100% happy with your purchase but if you wish to return your purchase, we are happy to accept returns or provide a replacement in line with the following conditions:-
1) Items must be returned within 7 working days of receiving your item.
If items are returned after 7 working days from receipt, we are under no obligation to refund. We will look at each individual case but if we cannot accept the return, the item will be returned to the customer at their expense. Please contact us for a returns number prior to return.

2) The item must be UNWORN (costumes can be tried on for size), unused, in perfect condition, in the original packaging and in re-saleable condition.
If the item appears to have been worn, has been damaged by the customer or is for whatever reason not in a re-saleable condition, the item will either be returned to the customer who will cover the return delivery costs or destroyed on behalf of the customer.
We cannot accept returns either for refund or exchange if they have been opened from sealed packaging.
Costumes generally come in unsealed packaging so may be tried on for size however, if a costume includes a wig, the wig will be in a sealed bag. Please try on the costume for size and ensure you are happy with it before opening the wig. We cannot provide a refund if the wig has been opened.
We do not accept returns on underwear, tights or stockings, wigs, facial hair, masks, eyelashes & makeup for hygiene reasons.
3) Before returning the item, you must contact us for a returns number which must be included with the returned goods otherwise this may delay the processing of the refund. The item must be returned to Mad About Fancy Dress to the address on the invoice.
All refunds are subject to a 10% restocking fee which will be deducted from the refund total.
We can normally process a refund within 7 days of receiving the returned goods but will certainly provide a refund within 30 calendar days. The refund will be made back to the card used on the original transaction. We will not be held liable for any interest costs incurred if the refund is not made within your credit/debit card billing timescales.
We do not refund the original delivery charge and the cost of returning the goods is to be covered by the customer.
We are sorry but we are unable to refund or exchange an item until the original is received back by us. If you need a replacement urgently, please place a new order and return the original back to us within 7 working days of receipt for a refund.
It is the customer’s responsibility to return unwanted items and you or you carrier are responsible for any returned goods until they are received by us.
We therefore strongly recommend that you insure them adequately during the return journey – we cannot be held responsible for items lost in transit.
We recommend that you obtain proof of posting or send the goods by Royal Mail Recorded delivery and ensure that you use the service with the correct level of insurance cover:-
Goods sent by the Royal Mail Recorded service are currently insured against loss/damage up to £36, Special Next Day Delivery service up to £500.
Your right to cancel
You have a right to cancel your order within 7 days of receiving the goods but if it has already been shipped or processed for shipping, we reserve the right not to refund the postage and packaging charges. If you have already received your order, you must return it to us within 7 working days at your own cost.
Faulty goods
If an item is faulty, please let us know as soon as possible so we can provide a replacement if possible. You should advise us within 7 calendar days of receiving the item.

Please don't forget to include your Returns Number inside the parcel. There may be a delay in processing your refund/replacement if you do not include this information.
We are sorry but we cannot to replace or refund a faulty item until we receive the original back from you.
