Terms and Conditions Complaints Please direct any complaints in writing to us at the address given on our contacts page. Faulty goods
If an item is faulty, please let us know as soon as possible so we can provide a replacement if possible. You should advise us within 7 calendar days of receiving the item.
Please either let us know by phone or email so we can provide a Returns Number and return the goods to the address on the top of your receipt/invoice including this Returns Number. There may be a delay in processing your refund/replacement if you do not include this information.
We are sorry but we cannot to replace or refund a faulty item until we receive the original back from you.

Damage in transit
If goods are lost or damaged during delivery, it is the responsibility of Mad About Fancy Dress to make a claim for compensation from the carrier but we can only claim up to the maximum amounts covered by the delivery service you choose. We cannot claim for loss until 15 days after date of posting: Service Compensation included* Royal Mail 1st class up to £36 Special Next Day delivery up to £500 Parcelforce courier up to £150 * you have the option at checkout to pay for additional insurance We recommend that you choose a delivery service that will cover the value of your order should it be lost or damaged. We will not accept liability for items lost or damaged in transit but will be glad to make the compensation claim on your behalf. Please note however, that it can take the Royal Mail a few weeks to process these claims and we are unable to pay any compensation to you until we have received confirmation of the claim from the Royal Mail. If an item is damaged in transit, please report it to us immediately (within 5 days latest) as there is a time limit on when claims can be made. Please keep the damaged item and all packaging as the carrier may wish to inspect it before settling any claim. Privacy We at Mad About Fancy Dress treat the information you give us as highly confidential and do our utmost to protect your personal information. You are however, entirely responsible for protecting your username & password details and we cannot be held responsible for any unauthorised access to your account unless it is a result of negligence on our behalf. If you believe there is a security threat to your password or user details, please contact us immediately so we can change your details. To process your order and provide a good level of customer service, we will need to know your name, e-mail address, telephone number, and delivery address. We will use this information to keep you up-to-date with the progress of your order, for record keeping and may use them for our own market research purposes. We will never pass your details onto a third party without your explicit permission, other than for the purpose of processing your order e.g. to credit card companies to clear your payment or to courier companies who will deliver your order. We do not store or have access to your credit/debit card details. We would also occasionally like to send you promotional offers or information about our products which you may find of interest but if you do not wish to receive this information, you have the option to opt-out at checkout stage. We only use information that we collect about you lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We do not sell, rent or pass on any of your details to other parties. We reserve the right at all times to monitor your use of our website to ensure compliance with these terms and conditions. We also reserve the right to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request. Governing Law & Jurisdiction These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and the parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. Your right to cancel Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulation 2000, you have the legal right to cancel your order within seven working days of receipt of the goods. However, if your order has already been shipped or processed for shipping, we reserve the right not to refund the postage and packaging charges.
